Match report Thatcham crashed to defeat at the hands of Kidmore End 3rd XI on Saturday following a delayed start as Kidmore turned up late. The visitors then decided to undergo a long warm up session to delay the start even further to ensure they started the game with 11 players.
As it was Thatcham’s cricket in the first hour was dreadful and collapsed to 28-5 following a series of poor shots. Nick Voller (26) and Michael Hobbs led the recovery with Hobbs in particular showing great maturity before he fell for (48) just short of a deserved half century. Eddie Wylie then stroked a sublime un beaten (25) before Thatcham fell well short of a competitive total to finish on 139.

With quick wickets required, Voller and Dan Stephenson (2-36) opened up, but wickets were hard to come by. Nathan Redmond (2-16) did take a couple in quick sucession to give Thactham a sniff, but skipper P.Lawson 21 not out) and C.Dindar (32 not out) saw Kidmore flattered and home by 6 wickets.
