Match report On a windy day down at Henwick Thatcham won the toss and decided to bat first. Liam Redmond (1) and Bob Gadsden (9) were looking to get Thatcham off to a good start but that was not the case. Thatcham were struggling at 18 for two, NPL must have thought that they were in a good position, but that was the last success in the field that they were going to have.
With Rahul Mirchandani (104 not out) and Billy Beaumont (126 not out) stroking the ball all around the pitch NPL were struggling to cope with the clever batting of the two who were just keeping the good balls out and putting the bad ones to the boundary.
With the score at 248 for 2 off 49 overs captain Eddie Wylie decided to call in the batsmen to give NPL a couple of more overs to survive.

With Thatcham taking the field looking for quick wickets NPL batsmen were cautious to begin with but after Churchill had been dropped twice in the 30s both batsmen started feeling more confident within themselves and started playing their shots. The partnership was finally broken with the score on 184 by Andy Stephenson(1-31). The incoming batsmen were playing the shots to get the runs needed for the win which meant a couple of wickets for Kevin Liversidge(2-41) but in the end the wickets came too late and they knocked the runs of in 45.1 overs to give them the win with Churchill unbeaten on 147.
