Match report Thatcham 3s travelled to top of the table Theale & Tilehurst II looking to carry on from their good performance from last week.
After winning the toss and batting they made a steady start with Kieran Lynch (55) and Iain Cottingham(27) putting on 79 for the first wicket. After they had both departed, all of the other batsmen contributed with Malcolm Bloor looking good for his 33 as Thatcham finished with a competitive total of 183 for 8 from their 52 overs.

After tea Thatcham went with the old ball to see if they could get early wickets with spin. However, they quickly took the new ball and within one over Owen Jenkins (2-32) had got the breakthrough. That was the only success for a while until the re-introduction of Tommy Mather (2-41) who bowled well along with Jenkins.
Thanks to A Croft with 74 Theale were able to get to their target five down in the 38th over.
