Match report Thatcham 3s travelled to Barnes looking to carry on their good form from the previous weeks. After being put in Thatcham made a disastrous start and were 15 for 4. It was left to the remaining batsman to get Thatcham up to a score they could at least try and defend and useful contributions from Ravi Mirchandani (32), Owen Jenkins (21) and Nathan Redmond (33) meant they were able to get up to 153 for 9 off their allotted 52 overs.

Early wickets were crucial and they got one in the first over thanks to Tim Mahoney (1-18) but that was the only success as the batsmen decided the best form of attack was to attack every bowler, with Oliver (93no) doing nearly all the damage. Nathan Redmond (2-20) and Neil Stevenson (2-8) made Barnes work a bit harder for their win but they got home by 5 wickets in the 33rd over.

Thatcham will go into the game against Yateley looking to get back on to a winning roll but it will be hard against the top of the table.
