Match report Thatcham suffered a home defeat by Henley 2s of 107 runs.

Winning the toss Thatcham asked Henley to bat. Henley openers Michael Williams and Matt Dalrymple had reached 29 when Mike Green had Dalrymple caught by Gregor Wells for 14. Charlie Homewood joined Williams and took the score onto 65 when Homewood was caught by keeper Jamie Young off the bowling of Nathan Redmond for 18. Rhodri Lewis joined Williams and they added 123 when Williams was caught Rhys Williams off the bowling of Ben Denton-Powell for 74. Nathan Hopkins and Lewis together batted out the rest of the Henley innings of 50 overs scoring a total of 282 for 3, both remaining not out Lewis 105 and Hopkins 49.

Thatcham’s opening pair of Ben Denton-Powell and Rhys Williams had only reached 14 when Denton-Powell was bowled Simon Wheeler for 2. Jack Young joined Williams briefly until Williams was caught and bowled Harry Jordan for 10. A partnership of 31 was added by Young and Rhys Lewis until Young was caught Dalrymple bowled Lewis for 15. Lewis and Jamie Young took the score onto 108 when Lewis was bowled by his brother Rhodri Lewis for 34. Jamie Young and Nathan Redmond added 35 when Redmond was caught Lewis bowled Harry Jordan for 15. Ryan Gilmour came in and hit a rapid 28 until caught Homewood off Hopkins.

Thatcham were dismissed for 175 off 43.2 overs with Jamie Young remaining 38 not out.
