I am very happy to announce an update in our
club organisation regarding the positions of Vice-chairperson and Welfare
Officer; both of these positions have been vacant since the last AGM in November
Each position has been filled as follows:
Vice-chairperson – please congratulate Jamie
Young in taking on this role. Jamie is an active member of the 1St
XI, and has positive ideas and plans for the future of the club. Since joining
the committee last year, he has already brought to it new energy and new ideas,
and has been heavily involved in fundraising over the winter months.
Welfare officer – please congratulate Caroline
Slevin on taking on this very important role. Caroline has completed the appropriate
ECB welfare course, and will be making sure the club fulfils its welfare
requirements. Caroline has already made the committee aware of welfare issues
that we were not aware of before, but are rapidly addressing.
You can contact either Caroline or Jamie
directly, or via the club offices page https://www.thatchamtowncc.co.uk/officials/default.aspx?logout=true&nocache=true.
The position of Vice-chairperson is one of the four
officers of the club and is normally subject to confirmation at the annual AGM,
but club rule 8c allows for a person, with their agreement, to be co-opted onto
the committee at any time outside of the AGM.
