Match report Having lost the toss TTCC found themselves sent in to bat on one of the greenest pitches of the summer. Unfortunately a steady flow of wickets resulted in very little pressure being placed upon the home side until Andy Harland (79) and Robb Fraser (28) came together for a 5th wicket partnership of 57 runs that added substance to the innings. That was followed by an 86 run partnership between skipper Harland and Graham Squire (23) that helped push the total on to 6 for 224 with 11 overs remaining. With some good hitting by Nick Monger (30 not out) and sensational running between the wickets by Nathan Redmond TTCC posted a competitive total of 8 for 281 from 50 overs when the declaration came.

Following some tight opening overs by Redmond and Squire the home team was struggling at 1 for 16 off 6 overs. This unfortunately for TTCC brought to the crease Raghavan (130) who played one of the innings of the season to guide the home team to 284 with the loss of only 4 wickets.
Both Simon Rider (14 overs 2 maidens 1 for 72) and Nathan Redmond (13 overs 0 maidens 1 for 55) did best with the ball however there was just not enough support from the other end to help and build any pressure.

On the whole however 12 valuable pointsand a good team effort and a date with destiny next weekend against Reading 3rds.
