Match report Thatcham 2`s travelled to Falkland on the back of a good result last week. After losing the toss and being put into bat Matt Watts and Mike Rae put on 78 before Watts fell one short of a well deserved fifty. Then they lost Adam Phillips(7) which brought Kieran Lynch into bat and both batsmen started playing their shots.
Mike Rae brought up his fifty, but then Thatcham lost both Mike(69) and Lynch(20) in quick succession which brought in Dominic Billings(15) and Eddie Wylie. But after these two fell, Wylie for a quick fire 32, the innings was soon over, with Thatcham all out for 205 in 36.3 overs.

With Thatcham needing early wickets with Falkland only needing just under 5 an over Mike Rae(2-21) grabbed two early wickets.
But a good partnership between two senior players brought Falkland back into the game until Jack Steadman-(1-30) bowled Goulding for 28 and Thatcham were back in the game.
But the incoming batsmen played the supporting role to Nicholls who brought up his fifty and while he was in there looked like only one result. But the introduction of Dominic Melville(3-30) brought Thatcham back into the game, but Nicholls was still in so the game was still in the balance until with a fine catch off his own bowling by Wylie(1-25) got the key wicket of the Nicholls for a very good 90.
This made the game evenly poised until Gavin Ansell(3-46) came back to finish off the tail for Thatcham to win by 10 runs.
