Match report After winning the toss and putting Hungerford into bat Thatcham got off to a great start due to the tight bowling of Paul Holland and Gavin Ansell with the back up of Greg Cooper after the first change of bowling, had Hungerford 67 for 6.
But with their captain coming in at number eight the game was still on, him and D.Taylor played their shots to good effect and put on a good partnership of 97 with their captain and Taylor both passing fifty and also in quick time.
Taylor departed for a fine 78 caught of the bowling of Eddie Wylie the captain started playing his shots to try and get the score up to a good target which he did to when he retired at 50 Hungerford innings was over quickly with the score of 218 all out off 37.5

Thatcham needed a good start to help them with the chase but this did not come about and they were struggling at 41 for five.
They needed a partnership, and James Meagrow and Paul Holland didn’t disappoint, both batting very well and putting on 75 for the sixth wicket.
when Holland departed for a fine 36 Thatcham lost another quick wicket but Cooper joined Meagrow and also started to play his shots.
Meagrow soon brought up his first ever fifty for a Thatcham senior side but his departure for a fine 70 left Thatcham with a little too much to do,
Cooper (27) was still there but his run out left Thatcham all out for 198 in 35.2 over's.
