Match report Thatcham made it three defeats in a row losing to High Wycombe by three runs.

Thatcham got off to a positive start with a tight opening spell by Jason Williams (0-31) and Ali Naqvi (4-71) restricting High Wycombe to 49-1 off 23 overs.
Josh O'Flynn (0-18) and Chris Bird (1-40) maintained the pressure and didn't allow the High Wycombe batsman to settle and push the scoring along at a higher tempo. However, some heavy rain made the ball difficult to grip which allowed the visitors to add 40 in the last six overs as they reached 169-5 in 52 overs.

In reply Thatcham got off to their normal start with wickets falling at regular intervals which brought Ali Naqvi to the crease a lot sooner than expected.
A fantastic innings by Ali Naqvi (86 not out) held things together and gave Thatcham an outside chance of winning the game as wickets continued to fall at the other end.
A last wicket stand with John Williams which added 44 runs and took Thatcham to within three runs of winning the game but the High Wycombe bowler held his nerve and had Williams (1) caught behind, Thatcham all out for 166
