Match report Thatcham’s seven day unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday leaving them one from bottom of the table.

Thatcham got off to a steady start with Josh O'Flynn (17) and Daniel Stone (55) building a useful partnership.
With the score on 44-1 off of 22 overs, O’Flynn fell trying to push the score along as frustration got the better of him.
This brough Ali Naqvi (85) to come to the crease and he soon imposed himself on the game.
With 30 overs to bat a lot of work was required for Thatcham to gain maximum batting points and set a competitive total but with Naqvi and Stone together it was on. They added 98 runs in 20 overs before a fine innings from Daniel Stone came to an end.
With 10 overs remaining and the score on 142 runs, it was down to the middle order to push on and take the total to 200 runs plus.
They rose to the challenge with some selective hitting from Jason Williams (13 not out) and Steve Wyatt (12) and finished with a total of 201 for 5 in 52 overs.

Thatcham got off to a poor start with the ball as Amersham’s opening partnership punished the plentiful bad balls for fours.
It wasn't until the 18th over that Thatcham were able to take their first wicket with the score on 85.
They couldn’t capitalise on this though as R Viney (84not out) and C Cann (51) took the game away from them with the help of some disappointing bowling.
Two more wickets fell but Amersham eased to their target in the 40th over with 7 wickets in hand.
