Match report Thatcham 3s travelled to Teddington to kick off their league campaign after the cancellation from last week. After losing the toss Thatcham were looking for a good start but this was not the case losing two early wickets to leave the score at 13. Malcolm Bloor (28) and Liam Redmond (24) started the rebuilding phrase but they were parted at 59.
Then the next wicket fell shortly after with the score on 73. Billy Beaumont (15) and Ravi Mirchandani (34) stuck around for a while adding 46. A partnership was needed between Rahul Mirchandani and skipper Eddie Wylie and they were both nervous to start with, but after a while they both started to relax and score much more freely, but when they needed to kick on Rahul (28) was run out. That brought Dave Taylor (26 not out) to the crease to join Wylie (37 not out) to it through to the end to bring the score up to the score off 218 for 7 off 52 overs.

Thatcham went into the field looking for quick wickets but they could only get one which was brought by a good catch by Bird at point off the bowling of Kevin Liversidge (2-42). The next pair brought to the score to 70 before Owen Jenkins (2-33) struck. The next three wickets fell in quick time and the score was 115 for 5 with Ravi Mirchandani (2-70) taking wickets. There was then a partnership that threatened to take the game away but the returning Jenkins took a key wicket with the score at 195. Another wicket soon fell with Bloor (1-35) getting in on the act. With the game in the balance calm was needed, which Thatcham managed and the score finished up on 208 for 8. So a game which could have gone either way ended up a draw.
