Match report A poor batting display saw Thatcham’s Border League campaign get off to the worst possible start as they collapsed to 80 all out chasing only 160 against Swindon on Sunday.

Good bowling from seamers Jamie Bishop (2-32), Nathan Redmond (2-19) and spinners Andrew Bayliss (1-36) and John Williams (1-33) had restricted the home side to a very gettable total but Thatcham’s top order failed to show the necessary application against some accurate bowling from Swindon.

Only Bayliss and Williams reached double figures as Irfan with 4-7 and Wilson 3-16 did most of the damage and Thatcham deservedly left with no points.
