Match report Thatcham welcomed Old Actonians to Brownsfield on Saturday.

Thatcham won the toss and elected to bat first with Denness and Scrieber (21) taking the score to 54 for the first wicket. Stone came in and looked to be positive as he and Denness (65) took the score to 116 from 25 overs. D Johnson (14), Hartley Russell (14) and Jamie Young (12) all added their support as Stone fell for (81) shortly before the end of the innings. Thatcham closed on 239 for 7 from 45 overs.

Old Actonians innings was dominated by Ensom. He and Aswan (43) took the score to 133 before he was run out. However, this didn't slow Ensom as he repeatedly targeted the short boundary and made his way to an unbeaten (156) with support by French (31 not out). Old Actonians reached the target with 4.5 overs to go and eight wickets in hand.

Callum Johnson bowled well with the new ball and he beat the bat on numerous occasions. Hartley Russell also bowled well until his last two overs and Duncan Johnson bowled a consistent line and picked up 1-36 from 8 overs.

Overall a good final work out before the league season.
