Match report Different coin, same result, TTCC put into bat. After Ingrid Cottingham’s departure (Spain) TTCC innings began with Stephen Bartholomew (7) and erstwhile Aussie Gavin Cottingham (45) flaying Bray’s bowlers to all parts of the square. A leading edge from Bartholomew brought Peter Edge (12) to the crease and after some glorious drives he returned to the pavilion allowing talented Tom Donnelly (54) put on 88 with McDonald. Great knock from the youngster. When McDonald eventually departed Iain McKenzie (10) and Brendan Trump (8) made way for young guns Tim Mahoney (17) and Michael Hobbs (21 n.o.) to post a below par 198 from 52 overs.

James Theunissen and Peter Edgcombe bowled well with the new ball, beating the bat on occasion. Two quick wickets from Edgcombe (2-40) and one each from swingers Tim Mahoney (1-21) and Brendan Trump (1-29) ensured TTCC picked up 10 bonus points keeping them in the hunt for promotion. Although the bowlers we’re ably supported in the field Bray cruised to 204 winning by 6 wickets.
