Match report Thatcham won the toss and asked Bagshot to bat.

Mike Green and Ryan Gilmour opened the attack for Thatcham against openers Grinstead and Doyle. Green struck first, bowling Doyle for 10. Hollely joined Grinstead and together they added 84 before Grinstead departed for 50, caught Steve Bartholomew, bowled Paul Hemming. Hemming then caught and bowled Collier for 7 with Chris Bird getting Hollely caught by Tom Mahoney for 42. B. Passfield was bowled Hemming for 0 and Hemming went on to claim his fourth wicket having Dinger caught Mahoney for 20. Josh O’Flynn caught Davis off Bird’s bowling for 19 and Gilmour had Fletcher caught Mahoney for 24. Bird then cleared up the Bagshot innings with Sutherland caught by Jamie Young for 2 and Adam Passfield caught by O’Flynn for 1.

Josh O’Flynn and Rhys Williams opened up for Thatcham making a positive start with a couple of boundaries from O’Flynn before he offered a chance to Dinger off the bowling of Adam Passfield and went for 11. Jack Young joined Williams and after adding 21, Williams was caught for 18 by B. Passfield off Sutherland.Steve Bartholomew was caught by Grinstead off A.Passfield for 5. Tom Mahoney joined Young at the crease and when the score was at 73, Young was caught by Hollely off A. Passfield. A.Passfield then picked up Hemming caught Dinger and Jamie Young joined Mahoney and together they tried to accelerate the score. Young was bowled for 19 by Collier. Gilmour was next in and kept the pressure on by hitting 2 sixes in quick succession. Mahoney went for 46 caught Davis bowled Collier and Chris Bird and Gilmour continued to take the innings forward until Bird was run out for 5. Nick Bishop was Gilmour’s next partner until he was bowled Collier. Gilmour was run out in the last over for 33 leaving Mike Green on 3 not out and Thatcham falling short by 7 runs.
