Thatcham 3rds entertained Farnham Common 3 on Saturday.

Batting first the Farnham Common innings never got going thanks in main to a 4 wicket spell into the wind from Andy Stephenson and impressive performances from Thatcham’s young opening attack of Paul Jenkins and Simon Chapple.

The Farnham Common innings closed at 126 for 9 in the full 52 overs.

Thatchams innings did not start well as they lost both Bob Gadsden and Jenkins cheaply.
Ian DeMelvin had a trip to hospital after a nasty blow to the head but Paul Sharp stayed firm and allowed Sean Huckins to smash the Farnham bowlers to all parts of the ground.

Sharp fell for a dogged 25 but Huckins continue for a typically distructive 71 not out which allowed Thatcham to make it home to 127 for 3 in the 28th over.
