Match report Thatcham 3RD XI picked up their 3rd win of the season by resoundley beating Windsor 3rd xi at Henwick.

Put into bat Thatcham struggled for runs on a seamer friendly pitch. Iain Cottingham (29) and Neil Stevenson(17) grinding out what runs they could. Tom Mahoney ( 34) attempted to up the run rate, but D.BEAN (3-61) was difficult to score off during his 26 over spell. Skipper Malcolm Bloor then joined Mahoney in the major partnership of the innings to take Thatcham to a respectable 173-4. Bloor finishing unbeaten on a run a ball (56).

In reply Windsor found Gavin Ansell on his best form as only R.W Noble (33) showed any application as Windsor collapsed to 60-5. W. Lloyd (22) tried to give the tail a wag, but Stevenson (3-13) picked up wickets cheaply. However it was Ansell who was the star of the show as he bowled an unbroken spell to finish with a career best (7-54) as Windsor were shot out for 110.
