Match report Electing to bat Thatcham lost the normally imperturbable Iain Cottingham in the first over of the game by being stumped after in explicably dancing down the wicket.
Josh Winfiled (32) and Steve Bartholomew (19) made useful scores, but Thatcham found themselves on 72-6 after 22 overs and struggling until Malcolm Bloor found an ally in Tim Burnett before Burnett unluckily played on for (18).
Tim Mahoney then joined Bloor and the two veterans were intent on scampering singles until Mahoney scampered once too often as he was run out for (22). Bloor was eventually out for (55) chasing quick runs as Thatcahm were dismissed for 188, Matt Taylor was unbeaten on (14).

In response Wooburn had J.F White in top form as he comfortably coped with the new ball and pretty much anything that was bowled at him. He alone stood between Thatcham and 25 points as he scored 70 out of the first 100 runs and then reached his 100 with 153 on the board. Tim Mahoney (1-36) and Tristen Allen (2-39) strived hard for wickets, but White in partnership with A.Cuthbert 39 not out took Wooburn to the brink of victory before White was dismissed for (114). Bloor (1-16) also picked up a wicket, but Wooburn got home by 6 wickets.

Thatcham finishing the season with a creditable 4th spot.
